David Koresh's Mother Killed

The mother of Branch Davidian leader David Koresh, killed during the 1993 Waco Siege, was found stabbed to death yesterday. Her sister, Beverly Clark, is being held in the death.

Bonnie Clark Haldemann, who wrote a book about her son in 2007, was 64. Some news articles say she was 60, but that's not possible since Koresh was born in 1959.

According to her autobiography (p. xi), she was born Sept. 8, 1944 and only 14 both when she became pregnant and when Koresh was born. She met his father at age 13 while working at her junior high school. He was 18. They never married although it seems they stayed in touch and she remained close to his mother.

Bonnie went on to become a nurse. She worked in elder care facilities. Her autobiography says Bonnie "lived, worked and worshipped" with the Branch Davidians from 1985 to 1991 (p. xii). She lost 14 children in the deadly siege and fire.

R.I.P. Bonnie Clark Haldeman.

She lost 14 children in that debacle, what a horrendous tragedy that truly was. May the Goddess guide her on her journey to the Summerlands, there, may she find Peace.

It's a minor point, but I believe it would be correct to state that those individuals were her grandchildren. R.I.P.

And for those who wring their hands about waterboarding as though torture was new tool of the civil rights generation, unfortunatly for way too many, it is simply a partisan issue.

Paraphrasing one FBI spoksman after the fire:
"We thought their motherly instincts would take over and they would flee the building. They weren't very good mothers, I guess".

How did they intend to stimulate their "motherly instincts"?

By BURNING and SUFFOCATING the CHILDREN.

The collective brain trust of the United States
Department of Justice decided to compell Davidian parents to act in a manner that would please "the state" by torturing, and killing if need
    be, their children.

They intended to roast them slowly, chemically. If they remained and the methylene cloride didn't kill them first, they would drown in
mucus as their unprotected lungs filled with fluid.

It was a depraved act and the people who approved and executed it are depraved animals. A criminal use of deadly force by the ciminally insane.

To show our appreciation we gave them a cash reward.

It remains, a crime against humanity.

There is evidence that the Davidians started the fire in three different places

    Link

The government bungled this mess, but the Davidians are not blameless in the deaths of 4 ATF agents and 80 people of their own (including 5 children who were shot from inside the compound).

I feel very sorry for this woman - so much tragedy in her life, from raising a monster, to watching people she knew and possibly loved, including her own blood, to being murdered herself.  Very sad.
