President Obama said during the campaign he would not authorize the DEA to continue medical marijuana raids in states that had legalized it.

The DEA is still raiding, since Bush's people are still leading the agency and we don't have an Obama Attorney General.

Question: Will Obama put a stop to this?

    on the fact that he will not be allowed to call any witnesses in his defense at the impeachment trial?  Therefore why should he be present at the senate trial if he sees it as a kangaroo court.

    Is this practice by the Il senate kosher? Or is it different Senate Trial vs Criminial Trial?

    In the movie Inherit the Wind, Spencer Tracy acting as Clarence Darrell was not allowed one witness on behalf of his client Scope but they were wrong.

    so they have to make as many people miserable as they can in the time they have left. Let's hope Obama can put a stop to it soon.

    are going anywhere anytime soon...aside from the lip service paid to the sick being tyrannized during the campaign, I don't think cleaning house at the DEA, or a big budget cut, is in the cards.

    Obama is just another leader who doesn't give two sh*ts about liberty.

    Don't they still have to answer to Obama?  I find it hard to believe he was ignorant of this.  Something tells me he approved (tacitly or otherwise) and then he will be able to make the same claim - "hey, these are Bush's people."

    Medical marijuana isn't about liberty (i.e. being a subterfuge to legalize marijuana).  It is being presented as allowing a the very small minority of people to have access to what is presumably a medically helpful drug for them when Marinol (THC tabs) are not helpful.  Or am I missing something here?
