Great ad.

This is the ad for the big northern swing states.

I'm really hoping the Obama campaign is sitting on a commercial featuring John McCain's quote where he called social security a "disgrace", and that they plan launching it very close to election day. It could definitely make a difference in Florida.

I know there are a lot of old people in Florida, but I wonder how many of them are depending on Social Security? I thought that was more an issue for those "left behind" in the chilly north.

Maybe I'm just "out of touch." heh.

I was hoping he'd go there. And he did.

You know, Jeralyn, I'm so impressed by the way you're able to pull out the important issues and focus on those areas that deserve the most attention. The singling out of this ad is a prime example. I'm wondering how few -- not how many -- people miss that this election boils down to the gritty life elements, that all the baloney and bluster and distraction and character assasination is irrelevant. You certainly GET it. Thank you, thank you for providing a voice of sanity and realism. Yes, this Obama ad really drills it home on SS. It does to me, at 61. And, I guarantee, it does/will to so many others in the same situation. Tonight, in the wake of the BEGINNING of our economic meltdown, I've realized how little this election is about politics as usual and how much it's about completely altering our country... our world. I don't expect miracles, just a way out of this horrendous mess we find ourselves in. Barack Obama was not my first choice. But, after weeks of seeing the alternatives, he (and Joe) are my ONLY choice. You've made this senior very hopeful by speaking that truth to power everybody refers to... and sharing vids like this one is part of the package.

I'm just amazed that there are so few responses to this post. Well, maybe after weeks of reading comments, I guess "surprise" really isn't the right term.

Anyhow, continue on with your fine site -- and insight. And, again, thanks so much.

Obama/Biden. Because we can't STAND another Bush-thru-McCain/Palin term. Really.
