weren't planning to give the DNC or RNC, and make that money work for you! (Hey I already sent in my monthly $20, because even living on a fixed income for the last few years, some things are worth it.)

Some of the threads in last couple months, esp on FISA and Netroots, have been the most riveting and astute of any I've read anywhere. Just fabulous analysis/insights by almost everybody who comments. Great work by BTD and TChris and the respectful tone set by Jeralyn is first-rate. Yes, TL an oasis in those hateful primaries and still deepening in value. I'm sending bucks I might otherwise have sent to BHO or DNC (supporting downticket Dems direct).

I love Talk Left but have two major problems: 1) I work very late and can't get online until 3 or 4 a.m., usually too late to join thread discussions; and 2) I write too long. So I mostly just read and learn which is a great pleasure.

value of sanity preservation is in my budget, but tomorrow is payday and I will be happy to send some appreciation your way.

When someone recommended TL to me as a haven for rational and civil discussion on all sides of the issues, I wondered how that was possible. Every other blog I had been reading or commenting on was descending into an ugliness that was kind of horrifying, really, and there seemed less and less point to even trying to have a rational discussion - it just took too much mental energy.

You all are to be commended for the diligence with which you enforce the structure that makes it possible to discuss things - and it makes me chuckle a little when I realize that we've all gotten very protective of this oasis of reason!
