Michelle Obama met this morning with military wives in Fayetteville, NC. and in the afternoon held meetings in Fayetteville and Charlotte. She will appear tonight in Gary, IN with Obama.

This morning, Hillary did a rally at 8:45 a.m. in Greenville, NC. and at 11:45 a.m. in High Point, NC. Obama met with workers in Durham at 12:45 p.m.

Pretty light day for Obama, one lunchtime appearance in North Carolina and nothing until 7:30 pm in Indiana.

For the results tomorrow night, Hillary will be speaking from Indianapolis at 6:30 pm. I suspect Obama will be in North Carolina, but haven't seen a link yet.

    From the WSJ -

    As evidence of Mr. Clinton's impact, the campaign cites the Pennsylvania primary, which Sen. Clinton won by a margin of nearly 10 percentage points over Sen. Obama. Campaign data show that Sen. Clinton won by huge margins in several rural counties that her husband visited: 44 percentage points in Armstrong County, 44 points in Cambria County, 48 points in Carbon County and 50 points in Greene County. This compares with an edge of 26 points for Hillary among rural voters statewide. In Bucks County, a Philadelphia suburb that Mr. Clinton visited, Sen. Clinton won by 26 points, compared with only three points in suburban Philadelphia as a whole, according to the campaign data.

    They need to win big among rural voters and, at least in Pennsylvania, it appears that Bill's appearances help accomplish that.

    One of my favorite quotes from that article is from Bill himself:

    The former president says he's in uncharted territory. "Being the spouse is more difficult than when I was the candidate," he says in a brief interview. "When you're running, you're out there driving every day. But when you're the spouse, you feel more protective. It's much harder."

    I swear almost all of the "trouble" he's gotten into during the campaign has been trying to defend/protect his wife.  Most of it, IMO, was manufactured.

    After listening to a show where he was pushing ethanol, which might have been okay except his "expert" was the paid representative of the ethanol industry.

    he was being interviewed on one of the TV shows along with Mark Green. I couldn't stand more than three minutes of him, and turned it off.

    He's a Rush clone, no doubt.

    That Obama is spending time in IN says he feels NC is safe.

    OTOH, he doesn't arrive in IN until 7:30 PM.

    the news that obama will toss his arena style appearances to smaller ones which will be more personal.  What a crock!  If he wasn't in such a

    Why is Clinton speaking so early tomorrow? 6:30pm? The polls won't even be closed then...do you mean that there will be a gathering (party???!) starting at 6:30 to watch results come in?

    I am not sure what to make of the candidates locations. Earlier today it was being reported that Hillary must feel comfortable in Indiana to be spending time in North Carolina since Indiana is must win, but now she is back in Indiana. By the same token, he must be feeling comfortable with NC to do his final rally in Indiana, since NC is must win for him. SO who knows!

    It is great to see him literally cover the state, blanket it with an unhuman number of appearances, and not pay any attention to the man behind the curtain who accused him of ruining SC.

    Go Bill, Go Hill, bring it on home.

    Hillary speaking at 6:30 is before polls close and O has no plans yet, shows how close these two contests are.

    In PA he got on a plane and hitailed it out of dodge while she was setting up a victory speech extravaganza in Philly.

    It is in the hands of the voters.  Waiting on the exit polls and live blogging here.
