Hillary On Hallmark Channel Now: Town Hall Meeting

Hillary Clinton is holding a national town hall meeting now on the Hallmark Channel. I just tuned in, Bill Clinton is appearing from San Francisco, fielding questions from the audience for Hillary to answer.

You can also watch at Hillary's website. She's discussing veterans right now and promising legislation.

Now they are in Birmingham, AL, and an attendee asks a question about outsourcing jobw.

It's very low key, not like a campaign stump speech but a conversation.

She's talking about real policies and taking stands on controversial issues like universal health care.  Who's more scary to our pols right now someone who talks in vague platitudes or someone who says outright the changes that have to be made?  I see more of a leader in Hillary right now than in Barack who puts forward a pre-compromised health care proposal.  Being a leader means taking stands and right now the only one I see doing that is Hillary.

Ya know, she must'a been reading my mind of those private contractors.  I have been saying all along, "that's the government's job!!!!"

Absolutely freakin' crazy that we are paying private mercenaries.  Disgusting, actually.  It sickens me to think those guys were on our payroll.  I know they are not all bad, but the draw to BE bad--with no laws and no consequences--is great.

I think the whole point of tonight can be summed up with, "Let's be America again."

with Hillary in St. Louis on Sunday.  She really speaks with ease on almost any issue that was raised.  I think she is connecting very well with people on the kitchen table issues and is more attuned to what is on the minds of the middle class.

I know Obama is having huge rallies that are getting a lot of attention in the media and the blogs.  The Clintons have not gone for the large venues but have consistently had to turn away people in Missouri when the crowds exceeded the capacity of the buildings chosen for events.  I was one of about a thousand in Columbia that was not able to get into see Bill speak on Saturday.  I wish they had planned for a larger turnout but there is no doubt the public is interested in her campaign.

Hillary has got to tone down the wonk and spool up the confrontation with Obama or she is going to lose more ground. She should confront him directly on his Harry and Louise ad and do it IMMEDIATELY. They both talked about toning down the rhetoric during the debate. She has, but Obama has been boring in non-stop. America's blood is up and she better respond in kind. She needs to show some more of the fighter she says she is. They need to cut Bill lose again. His instincts were right. Show some GD fight.
