Stupid Criminal of the Week

Here's a recipe for getting caught if you decide to steal a car:

Authorities say a man drove a stolen car to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office to demand the return of nearly $2,000 officers seized from him during a drug arrest last June.

Not surprisingly, he didn't get his money back.

It's his second brush with the legal system in about eight months. In June, deputies seized $1,991 from Mr. Chambers after he was seen riding on a stolen motor bike. After a foot chase, deputies also seized two plastic bags of meth, according to the report.

Tuesday, Mr. Chambers did not have any drugs. But his companion did, authorities said. Two warrants were issued charging Ms. Peace with the possession of less than 1 gram of crack cocaine and the possession of a controlled substance, specifically six hydrocodone pills.

    What a mess.
