TPM Wins Prestigious Polk Journalism Award

Congratulations to Josh Marshall and the bevy of reporters at Talking Points Memo. They crossed a new threshold today by winning a Polk Journalism award for their coverage of the U.S. Attorney firing scandal.

Attytood explains why it's so significant for bloggers and how it happened.

Here are the winners.

How is it that Jane's site doesn't get the credit it deserves?  They covered the Libby trial and it was Jane who turned the Iraq War narrative around by going to Connecticut for the Dem primary.  Now, Josh is going to be insufferable and while his US attorney scandal stuff was good, he's really gione off the deep end recently.
    Pisses.  Me.  Off.

    Well deserved (none / 0) (#2)

Correct me if I'm wrong but they did the most legwork in exposing all the junk behind Rudy Giuliani and his 3rd wife, with the police escorts to the Hamptons, etc. You could make a case that all that stuff took Rudy down. Yes?

    That was the deadwood Media.

TPM had nothing to do with that.

Thats great! I'm really happy to see the rise of blogs and the new media rather than just the biased mainstream.

    That's the award O'Reilly got, right? (none / 0) (#6)
