2008 Blog Reader Survey

It's that time of year again, where we really would like TalkLeft readers to take the 2008 annual Blog Reader Project Survey. The survey helps journalists, blogger, and advertisers better understand the demographics related to blogs. Please use this link to take the survey. While we won't get access to your results, the demographic information gleaned from TL readers will help us with advertisers.

Even if you've taken the 2008 survey on another site, please click through to add your results to our totals; you WON'T have to take it again.

Also, if you get tired of the survey before finishing, you can quit and the answers to the questions you submitted will still count. Thanks, everyone.

At first I thought I read subway and almost checked every day.  Then I realized my mistake and thought - I'm not sure I know what a Segway IS.  It's that thing that drives on sidewalks right?

more left-handed readers than the population at large.

Thanks for your great work on the blog.  The more ads you lure the better.

I was looking to check off the "wouldn't be caught dead on a segway" box, but it wasn't an option.

Or "ever been run over by a segway," (none / 0) (#13)

Frankly I don't get the point...if you wanna walk, walk.  If you wanna be propelled by a motor, get a god damn scooter and ride in the street like a normal human being.

    I saw a group of maybe 10 people (none / 0) (#15)

plus a "guide."  All wore helmets.  Crossing railroad tracks w/zip confidence.  Looked pretty dangerous to me, as they were about to tackle a heavily-trafficed main artery downtown in a major city.

I could quibble with some of the questions, but it's less tedious than it has been in the past.

    Also done (none / 0) (#3)

What on earth was the point of question 45? How many blogs have a sufficiently large number of Segway-riding readers to make up a demographic. That said, I'd love to see a comparison showing how the different left wing blog audiences differ.

    TV (none / 0) (#4)
by Peregwyn on Thu Dec 04, 2008 at 11:43:19 AM EST
I don't know how they picked the TV shows people watch.  I watch some of the higher rated shows that were not listed.  How can they not list Big Bang Theory?

The TV Question Was Hard... (none / 0) (#5)
by santarita on Thu Dec 04, 2008 at 11:51:29 AM EST
The survey wanted to know which shows we "enjoy".

I watched the premier of 24 but didn't enjoy it so I left that one blank.

P.S.  Breaking:  E.R. is going off the air in March; not that I've watched it in, oh, maybe 10 years.  Maybe George will return for the two-hour finale?
