Obama Takes Pennsylvania

ABC News has called Pennsylvania for Obama. Added: CNN has also.

McCain can't win without Pennsylvania. He pinned all his hopes on it. I think it's over. The Obama campaign is saying it's too early to say Obama has won, but I think it's going to be a landslide.

If PA has been called this quickly, then I was very, very wrong and I'm very, very glad.

I think I may go to bed now....

before I got up this morning if not before. At this point it is just an exercise counting votes. No staying up late for me tonight.

Sad thing is from here on out it is all downhill for Obama. There is no way he can live up to the promises he made during his campaign.

In sales the motto I always follow is under promise and over deliver. Not over promise and under deliver. When you promise too much you set yourself up for disappointment.

To use a baseball analogy, tonight he is batting .1000 and it doesn't get better than that. We'll see what his average is when he actually has to swing the bat.

delivers on all their promises...Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter....none.

All he has to do to win a second term is get us on a seemingly right track.  Sh*t, if Bush is the standard all he has to do is f*ck up beyond belief and run the same stuff in four years:)

    True (none / 0) (#21)

But Obama WAY WAY WAY over promised - beyond what like for instance Clinton or Gore did in their campaigns. Anyone who doesn't admit that is just not telling it the way it is.

Heck he promised everyone something. - Dems, Repubs, Independents, working class, middle class, upper class, corporations, and on and on. You can't deliver to one without taking for the other.

he did hit us with the need to prioritize caveat in the debates...so he left wiggle room.

I didn't hear any particular concrete promises of interest, except a 5 hundo tax cut:)...if the recession doesn't hit too bad he could get by on charm and Bush relief for 2-3 years easy.

    Charm? (none / 0) (#23)
by Pepe on Tue Nov 04, 2008 at 10:13:10 PM EST
Charm my friend does not give people a job. Charm does not give them health care. Charm does not bring back the stock market for those ready to retire. Charm won an election but charm will not govern.

1-3 years on charm? I give him 2-3 months and if people don't see a ball rolling their way then people ar going to get restless. Lot's of people gave lots of money and they will want something in return.

By April the joy of a first Black president will wear off and then he will just be The President who has to deliver. Don't forget that.

though it has felt over since Bush and the gang redistributed 700 billion plus of our wealth.

I guess the Black Panthers did a heckuva job surpressing the vote in PA.

Pardon me a little sillyness at the close of silly season...I think it would take a miracle or some serious shenanigans for Obama to lose now, it's been a long strange trip "my friends".

I really want Obama to get a big win in Ohio.....the GOP is ready to litigate if Obama wins here but not by a lot.

The VA numbers so far suck, and are even weird.

    Warner's ahead by 20, but Obama's down by 10.

At least he isn't down 13 anymore..

So to me, that doesn't change all that much.

What I'm looking for is one state of:

FL, NC, VA, OH, IN, MO, CO

..that Obama will win. He just needs one, but I'd like to feel good about one of them.

Anyway, my point is.. I'd feel so much better if I knew that just one of these states looks very good.

So far, I'm not seeing that yet, although some states don't look too bad, but far from certain.
