    here:

The analysis indicates that the author of http://talkleft.com is of the type:

    ESTP - The Doers

The active and play-ful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.

The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.

So what if I have a hard time sitting still!  So what if we made Thanksgiving luminary pumpkins this year with turkeys and leaves carved into them and as soon as they start not looking so swell one will become soup and one will become pie.  So what if I didn't know how to cook until I had a disabled child eight years ago and couldn't work OUTSIDE the home anymore.  So what if I subscribe to the Martha Stewart magazine because she makes dining room furniture out of yard trimings and her teeth in her free time :)

The Royal Gorge test ranks as the longest, highest flight attempt for the Go Fast Jet Pack, the company said.

But a flight of 1500 feet at 70 mph is otherwise unremarkable for a jet pack. On September 26, 2008 Yves Rossy used his jet pack to fly across the English Channel, landing ...

... (in) an English field 22 miles from Calais 13 minutes after takeoff. The 49-year-old aviator flew at up to 125mph after jumping from a plane 8,200ft above France.

I'm telling you, this yahoo couldn't spell Alabama if it walked up to him and shook his hand, and I kept busting him on his sh&t but it didn't matter - he'd just go find someone to write his paper for him. Got lots of As.

Relevant winners this week -- Auburn, Florida, OU, Texas and USC. OU runs around Texas in the BCS by virtue of its victory at Okie State and will play MU in the Big 12 Championship. The 'tide ultimately beats the gators. Texas sits at home while OU travels to Arrowhead and, it turns out, gets beat by MU on a cold blustery evening in December. USC beats UCLA in its last game. Texas and USC at the top of the BCS. So, Texas loses Big 12 Conference yet gets to play in BCS Championship. Hmmm. Yep, it can happen.

My dad went to the Citadel -- if you didn't know it's a military school.

Several years ago we visited the school and he gave me a tour of the campus.   They have an on-campus museum containing various uniforms cadets and graduates have worn over the years.  At one end of the museum each class has a book listing the members of that class who have been killed in action while serving their country.   I'll never forget how he broke down and cried after paging through his class book that was far too thick.  Many of his closest friends never made it to 25.

We have no such books at my alma mater.

listening to sportscasters talk about an all NY SB. Then they showed the Jets sched and it looks like they should at least make it to the end of the season without a complete collapse {grin} Playoffs 'nother story, but they sure looked good yesterday. 40+ minutes ball control vs 19, big yardage gap and 20 more plays ran (iirc). Lots of offensive players active etc. Wasn't the Titans D supposed to be fairly tough?

I'm not a huge Giant fan, so I'm just hoping for the Jets to go all the way. If the Giants make it also, more fun for us  :)

had the best defense in the league going into this week...yet the Jets beat 'em down like they stole something.

The big money acquisitions on the O-line look worth every penny....as well as the additions on defense, namely Big Bad Kris Jenkins and Calvin Pace.  Picking up Ty Law out of retirement last week shored up the secondary.  Hard to find any glaring weaknesses, in fact the only one I can think of is Favre's penchant for throwing picks...though he's been the "good Brett" through the winning streak.

Like sarc said, only injuries seemingly can stop 'em from going deep into the playoffs at this point.

I hope and pray they win it all before they move into the new digs...the PSL's are pricing all the diehards out of their tickets.  Fireman Ed is on record as saying he will give up his seats because of the PSL's.  Absolutely freakin' shameful.

Favre's pick throwing has bugged me a bit, but he plays with a heart that's hard to ignore. And he hasn't cost us too much on that front  ;)

Hadn't heard about Fireman Ed! That sucks!! I think I've been priced outta baseball, so not surprising the new stadium is also pricing people out :( This may be my last football season in NY, so I'm now going to pin my hopes on the Jets. Just talked to our UPS driver who is a season ticket holder, he hasn't decided whether to move up to the nosebleeds where they don't charge a PSL, or walking away all together.  Shame, shame, shame.  I wouldn't be surprised if the football gods smited us in favor of a team that doesn't charge PSL's...that might be what stops us:)

    Rats.

He's right about Clarke having been right about virtually everything.  He's a steady, clear-eyed, very, very, very smart guy.  It would be basically criminal not to use him in this administration, but it's possible he's done with government work and doesn't want to plunge back in.

I was just watching Rachel Madow and she was discussing possible war crime trials with Dahlia Lithwick.  I could be misjudging Obama but I don't see this happening.  Obama needs to focus on the economy.  The distraction of a circus trial would be a disaster.  Furthermore, I don't see how you get a conviction and if you manage to get one I don't see it being upheld by this Supreme Court.  I also don't understand how the failure to have a trial now sets a precedent.  What is the legal theory there?
