while hauling 70lbs of pet meat up to the 4th floor  and reorganizing the freezers . . . pets have it easier. They'll just wait for me to give them meaty parts to gnaw on while they watch TV and me labor  ;)

and last night I went to an Eagles concert.  The highlight for me was they played Life's Been Good which I didnt think they'd do.  Joe's kind of whacky but hes still got it.

where was the concert? (none / 0) (#4)

Mitch Mitchell, the last surviving member of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, was found dead at 3 a.m. in a hotel in Portland.  He was only 61 and continued to perform.

Mitch Mitchell blew my mind when I first got into the Experience...any drummer that could keep up with Jimi is beyond top notch.

    Very sad indeed.

There's a woman from DC in the competition, and there was a nice story on her in today's paper. The cats are watching me do laundry in the meantime. They are no help, they just sit there and look cute.

in favor of working on my word-count goal for NaNoWriMo.  I want to reach 20,000 tomorrow, and am just now at 15,300.  I'm skipping the CMAs, too.  I'll get my country fix this weekend, when I go see Loretta Lynn.

the Alaska Senate count. This could be fun.

    From the Anchorage Daily News

The elections division still has over 10,000 ballots left to count today and thousands more through next week, but the latest numbers show Mark Begich leading Sen. Ted Stevens 125,019 to 125,016.

with that 3 vote lead and then the Palin hammer will come down with a win for Stevens

for still watching politics but I didn't get my chance to take it all in after the election having been on jury duty since election day morning.

My first time ever chosen. It's a 1st degree murder trial from a crime committed over 8 years ago... and it goes 6 days and ends in a mistrial. By the time they pull this off most of the witnesses will probably be dead or too old to remember anything.

with Patrick McGoohan which just came out on DVD. After that I'm going to finish up the last three seasons of Doctor Who. As I working on a cold, yesterday I watched a pile of old Maverick episodes, and a few of Garner's other cowboy series, Nichols. I'm recording Bones and Life to watch later.

Not sure if it was a tear jerker or a tragedy.  It definitely kept me riveted.
