a little nervous about the seemingly abundant optimism for Nov. 4th?  It just seems too early to get comfortable. I am happy we are ahead for a change, but still nervous.

is putting the attack ads we know they had.

This is where we find out if Obama has built his brand well enough to take the attacks.

Brian WIlliams took a jab at Palin's "Im not answering questions" bit.  Funny.

Letterman is on a mission, he really doesnt like McCain anymore and Palin in particular.

I never watch network or cable news. I forced myself to watch more of this clip than was justified and in the end I got just what I expected -- a bunch of MSM nonsense.

When the debate was over on Thursday, I immediately turned the TV off. The last thing I need is Tom "Mouthful of Marbles" Brokaw or Charlie Gibson opining about what I've just seen and heard.

And my husband is now hanging up on multiple robocalls or live calls a day.  He hates elections too.  He's on the GOP list because he gave to a law enforcement charity.  I'm on the DNC list even though I told them to go jump off a cliff.

I'd welcome a call from the Libertarians or Green parties about now just for variety.  (I'll pass on the Natural Law party.)  It's so durned predictable and so durned annoying.  The OMG - Palin! is the cherry on the whole danged sundae, IMO.  Shouldn't we be talking Issues?

Why should I watch this?  What hads Brian Williams got to say that I would be remotely interested in?  Is he going to explain his network's hackitude during the Dem primary debates?

In part two, Williams compares this race to Kennedy-Eisenhower.  Problem is there was no Kennedy-Eisenhower race.  He is thinking of the transition from Eisenhower to Kennedy and the generational/paradigm shift that took place then that is also taking place now.  But Nixon was Kennedy's opponent and Adlai Stevenson was Eisenhower's.

    Don't care. Elect Franken! (none / 0) (#9)

The man has a brain and isn't afraid to use it.  A Franken victory is the only thing I want for having to go without his radio show for over a year now...

By April I had stopped listening to all left wing radio shows.  I

The late-rising October sun has finally burned off the dankness of the morning fog that had rolled in off the river overnight. I'm sitting on my front steps with my coffee, my morning paper and my smokes. Chickadees and the occasional yellow finch still come to feed on my sunflowers. A wild rabbit makes a timid foray from its hiding place underneath the bushes to my left. The squirrels have no such modesty and boldly scuffle through the leaves, up and down the trees, green walnuts in their teeth, looking for places to stash their treasures.  It's the season opener for duck hunting in Minnesota. I can hear the gunshots ringing out in the distance. They echo back and forth between the bluffs that surround this river valley town. I wonder if this is what it sounds like in war-torn neighborhoods, only worse. Duck for cover.
