Obama and Hillary in Florida Monday for Early Vote Start

Sen. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will campaign together in Orlando, Florida on Monday as early voting opens in the state. Earlier in the day Obama will be in Tampa while Hillary will be campaigning for him in Broward (Fort Lauderdale, north of Miami.)

Where's McCain/Palin? Palin will be in Colorado shoring up the Republican base in Colorado Springs, Grand Junction and Loveland (Larimer County) -- all of which are locks for their ticket.

McCain was in Miami today with Joe Lieberman, courting the Cuban vote, but has nothing scheduled in the state through next week. Obama on the other hand is putting serious energy into Florida, and Miami in particular, for the duration of the campaign.

Hillary campaigned in Youngstown, Ohio today.

to 2 million people expected to vote in Florida "before" election day, the Obama ground game will be out in full force beginning Monday. All those newly registered voters that no one expects to vote are likely to be driven to the polls next week by Obama volunteers.

Florida sometimes seems like the Democratic white elephant. But since I'm not over 2000--and may never be--I really want to win there.

they probably thought they had Florida in the bag and Palin would actually be popular with people other than the hardcore wingnuts.

and Obama campaigning together. At least a little "togetherness." Not enough for me! She needs to be prominent with him, not in some parallel campaign where he doesn't have to deal with her.

Obama's campaign can cover more ground if Hillary's campaigning in Ohio and PA and Obama's in Florida or Georgia, for example.

That's actually something that's working really well for Obama -- several strong surrogates -- Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and Bill Clinton -- each can draw big crowds and can reach independents.

McCain's got... Palin. Maybe Romney or Giuliani working a tad for him. And Dubya... Not exactly a strong round-up, except for reaching the base, and just the base.

Anyway, I think his "Republican" credentials are questionable these days. And yeah, he could fix that by endorsing McCain. (Yes, I could imagine that).
