It's unanimous. CNN agrees with the AP and NBC. Hillary Clinton wins New Hampshire!

The cable anchors and pundits are falling all over themselves, stuttering and trying to explain.

CNN should fire Carl Bernstein. He's a buffoon and a bitter old man.

Incredible rollercoaster of a ride. The Associated Press just projected Hillary Clinton the winner.

CNN says they aren't ready to make that projection. [More...]

Clinton took Manchester and Nashua, the big cities. But the college vote isn't in yet...Hanover, Durham, Ridge.

CNN says Obama could start making a comback with all three of these towns.

    If you've liked Edwards and Elizabeth so far, now's the time to make a contribution. I've held back until now because I thought I couldn't afford it. Seeing tonight that the race remains wide open, I see that I can't afford not to contribute to the Edwards campaign. So, I just gave $250. Not sure how I'll pay the mortgage next month, but I begin to like the shades of gray I see on the faces of the pundits tonight who believed they were going to decide who our next president would be. Edwards is smarter than they are. So are we. Send in some cash tonight.

    Thanks to Edwards for turning this back into a race about beating the vile Republican/purple/Clintonian ideal of government that has screwed most of us for the past twenty years.

    It's sad that after everything this country has seen over the past seven years, Americans -- democrat, republicans, independents -- will continue to support war mongers.  When Hillary voted for the war in Iraq years ago, I swore I would never cast a ballot for her when she ran for president.  And when she wins the nomination, as I think will happen now, I'll keep to that promise.  When she invades some other country to prove she's tough, or when she stands by (as her husband did) when there's another genocide in Africa, at least I'll know she isn't my president.  She stands for nothing, as her husband did, and cares about one thing:  herself.  She has no moral compass and will support whatever legislation she thinks will most benefit her.  She will continue to screw over the poor with programs under the guise of "welfare reform."  She'll stand by and continue to ensure that those convicted in state court have absolutely no chance of proving their innocence, thanks to habeas reform.  She'll continue our government's current decision to act like a petulant child by refusing to talk to leaders of some oppressive governments, but she'll continue to talk and support other oppressive governments because they have oil.  

    Congratulations, New Hampshire Democrats.

    Hillary got women's sympathy vote. Congrats - whatever it takes to win.

    But people still think it's going to take Obama to beat the Republicans and fix the things that have gone wrong with the country.

    and her corporate sponsors. I agree it was over the top. But if the identical comment had been made about someone else - Romney...McCain...Obama - would it have been deleted? Permit me to wonder.

    I've always appreciated it when you say when you've deleted a comment and why, Jeralyn. We get so much propaganda and manipulation of information from the media, I really hate it when people's voices are filtered on the blogs as well, particularly when the reasons for it are not always quite as stated. I know there are a lot of jerks out there. It's your site and you obviously need to protect it. You can also spin things as you wish. All I can say is that transparency is a good part of trust.

    when comments are filtered if they are over the top or use decsrimination or vulgarity. Keeps everybody behaving just a little better.

    The trouble with free for alls is they can turn good debate (even if heated) into mud slinging.
    What good is that?
    I thik Jeralyn has a lot of apetience so it must have been really bad for her to do that.

    of new readers on TalkLeft this week. Many don't bother to read the comment policy, which has been the same since day one. Personal attacks, defamatory comments, profanity and name-calling are not allowed.  Others don't bother to read the site's mission statement.

    You are right, this is my site. I will continue to keep the level of discourse as high as I can.

    All views are welcome here provided they are expressed in a manner consistent with the site's policies. There are plenty of other blogs that don't have these policies and everyone is welcome to visit them if they don't like my policies.

    I don't read every comment on every thread, so I miss some. But when I see one that is blatantly sexist, racist or insulting, as the one I deleted from this thread, it will not be allowed to stay.

    How anyone can really believe that Hillary Clinton is an agent for change in Washington is a complete mystery to me. She has done nothing but polarize the  country at a time when we all need to come together to undo all the harm that has been done over the past 8 years. If she is the nominee, she WILL lose to the Republican nominee in November and nothing will change. Think people...do you actually believe that she is the person to unite our country?
