Do New Hamphire Voters Read National Blogs?

Are blogs influencing the New Hampshire voters? As an admittedly unscientific experiment, I just checked the last 100 visitors to a few sites.

None of TalkLeft's last 100 visitors logged on from New Hampshire. As to others: Daily Kos: 2; Firedoglake: 2; My DD: 0; Atrios: 1; Crooks and Liars: 0.

    From what I've read today... NH folks expressed the opinion that the candidates did not address pressing concerns... i.e. heating oil.

    That would be labeled under "energy" and it did get touched on somewhat.

    opinion.

    Their ability to influence comes from the ability to generate a ripple effect in more traditional forms of media.  This can take the form of narrative or viral storie, the latter being episodic and the former a process.

    iow, according to your experiment, they are more tha 2X's as likely to read national blogs than the avg US citizen.

    ioow, statistics can mean everything or nothing.

    geekesque; blogs, of any sort, have little, if any, direct affect on probably 99.99% of the total population. and .01% might be a stretch.

    much as i enjoy talkleft, and think you guys do a great job, i don't delude myself into thinking it has any effect on anyone outside of this site.

    that's now. come back in ten years, and it may well be a different story.

     how much influence blogs have on people who do read them. just because i read something here or on another blog, does not mean I find it persuasive and, in fact, I'd venture that more often than not the posturing actually me MORE skeptical of the position the Blogger is intending to exalt.

      I doubt I'm alone in that. As for the sheep who read blogs, they'd likely  be shepherded by someone with the same views regardless of whether blogs even existed.

    I go to several message boards and so far have only met one person from NH. Since she came to the board last week and told us that Obama is secretly Muslim, I have a feeling that her opinion might be just a tad suspect.

    Let's hope she's not typical.
