Any good analysis on the Delegate counts and the Michigan and Florida delegates if it comes down to delegates? I heard a great speaker from Michigan about how they want the issue to be big so that they can clean up the Iowa New Hamphshire monopoly. I found it interesting and yet not much to read on the issue.

I think Gore is best off not endorsing anyone, as not being seen as politically involved is a definite bonus to his work right now.

So I doubt he will. Also, the environmental parts of Obama's program are not the strongest in the bunch. The strongest would probably be Edwards, followed by Clinton, and then Obama.

I think he should not endorse.  I'd like him to have an open door into the WH if Clinton wins.  I'd like him to be EPA head or Sec'y of Interior frankly if he'd stoop to a demotion from the real President-Elect of 2000.

If he does endorse Obama, I'd hope it comes at the price of Obama renouncing nuclear and coal unambiguously.

To link, with apologies if it's too basic:

-highlight the URL of the web-page that you want to link to.

-copy the URL ("edit" then "copy").

-come back to TL and write something in your "Comment:" box.

-highlight the word(s) in that comment that you want to be the link.

-click the "URL" button above the "Comment:" box, it's the button that has
an icon that looks like links of a chain. That brings up a link box, and your cursor is automatically in it.

-hold down the "Ctrl" button on your computer's keyboard and then type "v". That copies the url into the link box.

    -click "OK."

-click the "Preview" button below the "Comments:" box.

-if the preview looks good - ie., the word(s) you selected to be the link
are a different color from the rest of the text - click the "Post" button below the "Comments:" box.

Obama will be the front man and the VP will do the work. Cause, frankly, I think Obama, based on his experience is way, way beyond his league. We will have no press conferences either, just appearances.

Accountability questions for Bush & Cheney (none / 0) (#75)
by ctrenta on Tue Jan 29, 2008 at 07:10:54 PM EST

So Dennis Kucinich has given up investigations into impeachment. What next to hold Bush & Cheney accountable?

There's been much discussion on inherent contempt and it's been helpful. From what I understand, this is really geared towards Harriet Miers and Josh Bolten but is it possible to hold Bush & Cheney in contempt of Congress via this alternative? Can they to be jailed for not presenting information?

On another note, is there even a remote chance to bring Bush & Cheney before war crime trials before the Hague after their presidency? That may be a stretch but citizens across the U.S. want accountability if there's no impeachment. What are the alternatives citizens can do to bring accountability on them that is legally binding and doable?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
