My vote for the worst political pundit on tv, the one who is the least informed, least qualified, most biased -- who is such a relic that all his references are to ancient events with no current relevance -- is Carl Bernstein on CNN.

He's an embarassment to CNN and he may be enough to make me switch to another channel.

    is now claiming that Hillary's resiliency is the reason voters question whether she has a heart.  This is the sort of thing that has (for me) a whiff of sexism.  Would she make that same speculation about a man?  Or would the very resiliency be seen as evidence of the heart, rather than its absence?

    Carl Bernstein is awful, but you're picking on one of the talking heads that doesn't get much time.

    CNN is awful. I wouldn't suggest that Wolf Blitzer or John King are exactly astute politically and these are the 'senior' political staff.

    There's some serious griping on another diary here about MSNBC.

    Face it...television coverage is pretty weak.

    Tonight has been a new low for MSNBC and CNN.  Substance-free coverage.

    Is a sexist, racist partisan hack.  The one thing I will say in his defense is that I seriously doubt any democrat would be moved one inch based on anything he says.  If I were Obama I'd beg him to stop saying nice things about me.

    From what I could tell not a single thing she said was factually true.  

    Frankly, I thought very nearly every single CNN commentator sounded like a complete idiot tonight.  It's like they can't simply say  good things about Obama, who totally deserved it tonight, they have to trash the Clintons at every chance whether the facts support it or not.  They seemed so gleeful to be able to - at least for tonight - be able to write Clinton's political obituary again.  

    And I'm not sure they help Obama.  They are very close to doing the exact same thing they did to HRC before NH.

    If this is the best political team on television, then that explains a lot about the last eight years.

    I know Geraldo has his detractors but he did more good with his reporting on the abuses of the developmentally disabled at Willowbrook State School in NYC than just about any reporter in the last century. I think Geraldo's reporting on Willowbrook had as large an effect on society as Upton Sinclair's 'The Jungle'. Geraldo made his bones as a reporter on that for me and any goofiness that came after doesn't amount to much.

    "Bill Clinton went on into Obama's speech and that is just not done." Oh gee, I didn't realize he was giving a concession speech and they were holding the cameras for Obama until he finished.     don't get it. i didn't even watch tv tonight. i have cable and new televison, and now i am wondering why i even bought it. well yes, there is discovery, the history channel and some others.

    Sometimes he opens his mouth and talks about morality and ethics.  See this is when I go nuts, a man in power like him lies, distorts and then is rehabbed, he gives a fake apology, they tag it "failure in judgement"  but a poor kid who commits a crime: "zero tolerance".

    is loathsome.  The only good thing about him is that he hasn't said that much and when he has he's seemed drunk to me.  Is that just me?

    Oddly, I thought his bio of Hillary wasn't all that bad, not terrific, but not terrible.  Certainly not the hatchet job that others have written (although many of his sources during the Clinton White House years were clearly trying to even scores).  Of course,  I also suspected as I read it that it was written mostly by his assistants and not by him.

    Even Bill Schneider seemed off tonight.  He described African Americans as THE democratic base.  Now, certainly, African Americans are an important part of the democratic base, but they're hardly the entire base, not even in South Carolina where they make up a larger than normal part of the party.

    I didn't watch MSNBC, but CNN should be ashamed of themselves.  All of the candidates deserved better than what they got tonight.

    who are the Democratic base.

    Have been voting more than men since 1952, and 54 percent of voters last time, and even more so (I have seen varying numbers) on the Dem side.

    Any numbers on AAs on the Dem side?  Guessing we have perhaps three-fourths of them, and they're 12-plus percent of the population nationwide, that's 9 to 10 percent of Dems IF we get half the voters (and if voters are representative of the population by race and gender).  But it's late, maybe my math is off.

    Bottom line, we need to not alienate any Dems -- not with any more stupid race-and-gendered memes that presume that's how we vote.  After all, 20 percent of AAs in South Carolina voted for a white  tonight, and a lot of women voted for men again.

    Demographics are useful to Dems, but only to a point.  A lot of Dems clearly voted on issues -- and that included a lot who voted for their own race or gender, but not for that reason.

    Saw some Obama supporter get asked whether the Clintons were playing the race card.  The guy ducked the question, said he didn't know if they were or not.

    Regardless of what they think the Clinton campaign might be doing, the BO spokespeople should be smart enough to bat down questions like that to take race off the table.  But I never see them do anything but let these race insinuations just sit there and fester.  Strategically unwise, like Charlie Rangel said.

    To be frank I pay attention only to pundits with names like Jeralyn and Armando and Glenn and Joshua Micah, and none of them is a least favorite in this way. Why waste my time with TV idiots? The only one I bother with is Olbermann and then only when he does a Special Comment, and those can be downloaded.

    Alan Colmes was good.  He's getting better every day..and couldn't be bullied. And I love Craig Crawford...the only one now on MSNBC other than Buchanan for straight talk..  I was watching Fox because CNN and MSNBC were so awful. Colmes really stood up to Hannity tonight...interesting

    gee there are so many to pick from this political season...

    i do agree that Carl Bernstein's visceral hatred of the Clinton's is so disgusting that when he talks as if he knows what Hillary is thinking and what she is doing before she does it.... it smacks of misogyny at it's worst.

    in his after debate critique he looked like an overblown bullfrog... and sounded like a fog horn.

    on another note.. i think the media is so against hillary out of frustration of not knowing how to critique barack since he is black... and they fear the racist backlash that will dry up their sponsorship... so smack the woman... misogyny is so much easier to get away with... as well as these men are woman haters...
