Cheering In The Press Box

Keith Olbermann came out of sports so I know he knows that cheering in the press box is frowned upon. But he has led a broadcast from the beginning of the night to the end that has been in essence a cheerleading session for the demise of the Clintons.

I guess this is their revenge for New Hampshire. Tweety must be kicking himself tonight to miss out on the party.

In all seriousness, this was an atrocious performance from NBC. From top to bottom.

Hilariously, NBC continues to be a joke. They now scold Hillary for speaking after Obama. NBC has jumped the shark. When Obama conceded in New Hamopshire, the concession part was a minute and then the speech went on and on. No one cut him off. Keith Olbermann's perforamcne has been utterly disgraceful.

Why do you watch television?  You don't expect to get an accurate report of the news, do you?

Frightening to think so many people (probably not the people here though) figure out what's what from watching TV news coverage.  This is good for Obama but terrifically unfair for HRC.

by robrecht on Sat Jan 26, 2008 at 08:06:30 PM EST
It's better to be talked about than not talked about.  The MSM's sniping at the Clintons illustrate and, to a certain extent, enforce their status as the front runners.  Or maybe I'm wrong and Obama will benefit from the media in the same way that Kennedy did vs Nixon.

    you're probably right (none / 0) (#5)

after all, I couldn't bear to give Fox more than about ten minutes, because just the looks on their faces got to me.

MSNBC doesn't actually give me quite so visceral a physical reaction.

I stand by the fact that I think it will continue to be unwatchable as long as Hillary Clinton is a candidate.

The beating 2 Clintons was just bad.

Now, we knew Sen Obama would win SC. This was not a supprise. But the coverage has become Just a complaint about anything Sen Clinton does. Then they cover Bill and go to bashing him.

And Pat Robinson and Bill O'Reilly are the ones that get it. That is bad.

that is Obama is the nominee the republicans will win every state in the south as well as the ones with the big crime problems...There is alot of racism in this nation, like it or not, good or bad, it is out there and you cannot ignore it....As a party we need to find a way to mend this because here in after, Obama is known as the black candidate and thats disaterous for him...Sorry you cannot see that...

I have this sinking feeling about him getting the nomination and facing the Repubs.

Olbermann has spent the last several years attacking Bush and the war.

Having convinced him that cheerleading, I call it attacking, is acceptable and profitable, why do you think he will change??
