    I think that Huckabee might well have won South Carolina if it weren't for Thompson, so he can't be upset to see this happen.

    Thompson voters do not support Huckabee's positions, or at least as they were stated in the past.

    BTW -- Are you aware of Thompson's slams on Huckabee re him being a Demo??

    camp is blaming for the loss in SC.

    can blame all they want, but it simply is a stupid claim. Thompson's claim to fame was that he was a conservative, and all his statements supported that.
    (See his web site.) Huckabee is not a conservative based on his record, which is starting to catch up to him.

    Huckabee's supporters are angry that in the SC debate, Thompason clearly and in a defining manner identified Huckabee for what he is. If they want to claim that this "outing" by Thompson they may have a point. But no one who was going to vote for Thompson came from Huckabee.

    The Left wants Huckabee because they feel that he can be beat. They aren't going to get him.

    In an interview Tuesday, Huckabee suggested he would have beaten McCain in South Carolina if Thompson had dropped out earlier.

    "The votes that he took essentially were votes that I would have most likely had, according to the exit polls and every other analysis," Huckabee said on MSNBC.

    Those polls must have been the same people who declared Obama as the NH winner....

    I'm starting to not care, but in the interests of accuracy, Thompson is a conservative. If Huckabee thinks he will get the conservative vote his 15 minutes of fame is coming to an end.

    Bothered be at the beginning. His "I can learn as I go along" attitude about the presidency, is the same reasoning Bush had, and you see where that's gotten the country. Am very glad he is out.

    Rudy needs ousting too, as his revisionism of major events leaves just about everything he says suspect at the least, or just outright lies.

    The lamp throwing charge was made by a conservative activist in a book that was considered too much of lie by George "movement conservative" Will. Not what you call an unimpeachable source.

    I've never heard the other charges an innuendo - National Inquirer or Faux News?

    I know that people had their lives destroyed by a BS investigation and a trial that yielded a not guilty verdict in less than an hour.

    I know that the guy in charge of spy gate couldn't remember who hired him.

    As for the lamp, I have seen nothing that indicates that he lied.

    Further his publisher made a specialty of publishing anti- Clinton screeds- not exactly a purist for the truth. Then that publisher did the Newt scam of selling large numbers of those books at deep discounts to single purchasers to create an appearance of best seller. Not what I call a reputable publisher.

    But what else can ppj do, when the Clinton Admin looks lilly white compared to his pals in the current WH. They hold many records of ill deeds such as outing  CIA agents that were working on nuclear nonproliferation while falsely screaming that Iraq and Iran has such weapons, start illegal wars of aggression to settle personal grudges by cooking up lies and selling fear, wipe out the surplus with a record deficit, and have a record number of party members be indicted and convicted for dirty dealing.
