    I was thinking a lot of Steve Gilliard throughout her speech and how much he would have enjoyed her.
    And she mentioned him at the end. What a nice tribute.

    Who is Digby?  The most insightful political writer in the United States.  Of course, she is "just a blogger" and therefore receives no attention outside the blogsphere, but she is better than almost every pundit published in the NYT, WaPo, TNR, and NR.

    only 20, out of some 300 million people in the united states, know who she is.

    not to be a pest, but if she's so insightful, why hasn't she been picked up by someone?

    btw, anyone can be a political writer, it requires no specific credentials, other than pen and paper.

    i will, however, spend some time reading her stuff, before further comment. i may well come back with tail between my legs, singing her praises, or not. i accept the risk. lol

    Are you joking. Money and MSM fame are not on the top of every politial writers list.

    Digby in particular positions herself as a champion of the political blogs against the utter failures of MSM.

    Her blog has won the best writer many times and for very good reasons.
