Obama Calls Campaign's Clinton Memo a "Dumb Mistake"

Barack Obama called his "Hillary Clinton (D-Punjab)" memo a "dumb mistake" today.

"It was a dumb mistake on our campaign's part and I made it clear to my staff in no uncertain terms that it was a mistake," Obama told the AP in a brief interview in which he referred to the memo as "unnecessarily caustic."

Obama said he wasn't aware of the memo before it circulated and steps have been taken to avoid a recurrence.

I'd prefer he had sd. the memo was unnecessary.  No need for his staff to make any comment on the disolving of the blind trust.

That's one thing I like about Obama... Like the rest of us, he makes mistakes, he acknowledges them, he apologizes.

I don't expect perfection of any candidate. Just the effort to be inclusive of all of our opinions, to see the virtue in our many minds working together, the willingness to put out programs and stand up for them, and the humility to say "I'm sorry," if something goes wrong.

    Good for him.

That nothing can happen in campaigns without us hearing about it now.

It's too easy to copy an email, scan a fax etc...

I can't imagine what was said in Nixon's campaign about Kennedy and vice versa.   Probably would make our toes curl and we're better off not knowing about it.
