Republican Debate Open Thread

I'll chime on with thoughts on the GOP Debate as they come.

First thought, the Big Loser so far is Brian Williams as Matthews, Jim Van Den Hei and John Harris are asking much better questions than Williams could muster. What an empty suit he is.

Update [2007-5-3 20:40:4 by Big Tent Democrat]: Huckabee is extremely effective at what he is trying to do. His answer to the global warming question was shrewdly nuanced, abstaining on the question of whether humans are the primary cause, and stressing whatever the answer to that question is, we must address it. Markos always said he was a guy to watch and I can see why now.

Update [2007-5-3 20:42:16 by Big Tent Democrat]: Rudy no longer supports Roe v. Wade. Or at least that's what he wants GOP primary voters to think.

Update [2007-5-3 20:47:0 by Big Tent Democrat]: Here's my question to the Republican candidates on choice, assuming Roe is overturned, would you support a complete federal ban on abortion?

Update [2007-5-3 21:2:48 by Big Tent Democrat]: Ok, I'm bored. I'm changing the channel. I'm gonna watch basketball now. Sorry.

Republicans: Willing to appear in a debate with Chris Matthews, who worked for Tip O'Neill.  Democrats: too afraid to appear on Fox News (other than Kucinich).

It's a sad day for your side when Kucinich is the one who looks good.

that Republicans are desperate for attention and Democrats don't need to feed Faux Noise.

Since Democrats are not entertaining Faux Noise doesn't that mean that Faux Noise only has one political party on its air waves?

If that's the case, how can Faux Noise continue to proclaim that they are "Fair and Balanced"?

Are you trying to wreck jarobers credibility as a useful goptrollbot or get him fired or something? He's a dying breed. If he goes we won't have hardly any left to laugh at.

You can snear all you want, but the fact is the Repubs stood there and took the shots of a hostile host (??)

The Demos cut and run. They actually defunded FNC...

    Nothing new there.

Chris Matthews is a republican lover and bushlicker, he lobbed softballs all night. MSNBC is not a 'liberal' network.

Faux news has hosted previous debates and cut away from dems to score wrongwing points and ran disparaging scrolls during the debate. People who watch faux still think saddam had WMDs and iraq was connected to 9/11.

    Stay tuned and stay ignorant.

Why is it that I somehow seem to attract Trolls? (none / 0) (#14)

I think I have to have to wipe my ass better or change deodorant. Something!

I'm starting to feel like the Pied Piper of Trolls. When I type they become enraged! Go figure!

Are Trolls so afraid of the obvious that they become so crazed and feel obliged to try and divert the actual conversation with fallacies? Why? To protect the Supreme Leader?

Jim you proclaim to be independent but yet you side 100% of the time with their view points. Damn dude, grow a set of balls and come out of the closet. Proclaim to the world once and for all that you are a Republican Supporter and you believe in what they are selling! Damn dude, you will feel liberated once all of your hidden secrets are out in the public. Why be ashamed of being known as a Republican if Republicans are always correct 100% of the time. You should wear that title with honor and rally like-minded individuals to stand proud with you!

    Again and as always:
Save the Cheerleader - Save the World
