That's some competition you've got there - Perez Hilton, Michelle Malkin, Drudge... lol

You're gonna have to work a bit harder, I think, Miss D.

The Bloggers Choice Awards has 2 1/2 strikes against it.

    1. Website: the website REQUIRES javascript and doesn't detect when script is not enabled.

    2. Seems to be a front for "payperpost" which would seem to promote astroturfing and be very susceptible to corruption, and payola thus reducing bloggers credibility even lower

2 1/2.  Requires a login.  After figuring out that it needs script to be enabled, and waiting a long time for the page to timeout, I decided that though the the login is probably a good thing, feh, the whole thing wasn't worth it.

If you can believe me, I do wish TL well in the contest.  Like the recent blogging reader survey, the blogger community and the companies they use need to actually start respecting the commenters.  I ain't jumping through their hoops to vote, and I ain't taking a 15 minute survey at EACH site I ever visit.

TalkLeft is one of my favorite sites and I certainly spend more time here than at other politics and law sites. But I don't have much interest in doing the song and dance. Best of luck to you, Jeralyn.

every political blog was nominated, 24 pages of them.  Yes, you have to register to vote and TL doesn't have a chance at winning.  So don't knock yourselves out.

But, I'm flattered the site was nominated.  And, to be on page 8 of 24 isn't bad.

I appreciate your comments praising the site and saying how much time you spend here -- that's the real compliment.

Larry, what's your site? It's not in "Your Info" so I've never checked it out. Hell, I even glanced at Edger's site once. Advertise, yo!

    Thanks for asking.  ;-)

My site is Lotus- Surviving a Dark Time.

    URL is
    http://whoviating.blogspot.com

But you're right. I should do more to push it. I always just feel funny about "Hey! Look at my site!" deals.
