Here's one more reason to shake your head in disgust at the beleaguered Texas Youth Commission:

The agency that runs Texas' juvenile prison system said it will release 226 inmates after a review found their sentences were improperly extended. Advocates for Texas Youth Commission inmates and their families have complained that sentences are often extended inconsistently or in retaliation for filing grievances.
Jay Kimbrough, who is heading an investigation into allegations of physical and sexual abuse at the agency's facilities, formed a panel to review the records of nearly all inmates with extended sentences. The six-member panel, which included community activists and prosecutors, reviewed the cases of 1,027 inmates.

would be the same texas that our dear leader was governator of? the same texas that has an f*ed up education system and f*ed up prison system? well, the same state that is just f*ed up, after his tenure.

his successor, rick perry, seems cut from the same f*ed up cloth. have the toxins, leached into the air and water, from the petroleum refineries and storage facilities, so f*ed up the people down there, that all they can elect are genetic defects to public office?

PPJ fails to extol the virtues of Texas like:

Hot and dry or hot and muggy weather during most of the year

tornados

horrible roads and public services

more crime than a blue state like Oregon

and lots of idiots(according to my cousin now living in Hunt County she moved back there a few years ago to be closer to her non-idiot daughter and the daughters' family).

I say this from experience and after visiting my relatives back there a couple of weeks ago.

created a factory to produce hardened criminals who don't mind being in prison because that is where all of the friends are.
