Killing Civilians

It's good to see a headline recognizing this reality:

Civilian Deaths Undermine Allies’ War on Taliban

From the story:

What angers Afghans are not just the bombings, but also the raids of homes, the shootings of civilians in the streets and at checkpoints, and the failure to address those issues over the five years of war. Afghan patience is wearing dangerously thin, officials warn.

the press jacked off over smart bombs in '91?

The bombs are only as smart as the people who deploy them. So we're back to square one. Unnacceptable civilian casualties. Just like the Soviets. Different day, same BS. Putin must be shaking his head in wonder at the stupidity.

More lessons ignored. But I'm not supposed to dwell on the past, according to the enablers of this disaster.

Of course you're not supposed to dwell on the past (none / 0) (#2)

Civility, and decorum. It's be nice to psychotics week, or something...

those ungrateful wretches! whining about a few civilian casualties, in the great war against islamodemocratfeminaziliberalfascism9/11. how crass. don't they know that "dear leader" and his wife just worry themselves sick every night over this? they suffer, oh how they suffer!

in every great endeavor, a few eggs will, of necessity, be broken. just because it happens to be your egg is no reason to whimper and moan about it dammit.
