What The American People Are Sick Of: The Iraq Debacle

Master McCarthyite Smearer Joe Lieberman sez:

And I do think there is a larger message here for our politics. I think the public is fed up. They feel that both the political parties, mostly because of the primaries, maybe because of attack ads, the kind of divisiveness of the cable news coverage of politics, talk radio, the bloggers have added another dimension of vituperation toxicity to it. The majority of people are sick of it.

No Joe, they are sick of the Bush/McCain/Lieberman/GOP Iraq Debacle:

"Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling the situation with Iraq?"
Approve Disapprove Unsure

24% 71% 5%

Here is some cackle material from Joe:

I think if the two major parties wouldn’t hear this going into ‘08, there is a real chance of an independent third-party candidacy. and watch out if that happens.

Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!! Joe still pining for the White House. Hilarious.

the bloggers have added another dimension of vituperation toxicity

Oh Joe, you haven't heard the half of my vituperation toxicity yet baby starting with how Iraq is a war based on lies and ending up with at least a quarter of a million Iraqis dead and God knows how many United States troops we are up to today you little vulture of an excuse for a man!

Can we stop hearing about Lieberman, Wolfowitz, Broder and company? Everything that is to say was said long ago. We are just giving them coverage we don't need.

As a group, we commentors have become a hate group with raw emotions and foul language.

Remember, soldiers are dying, problems pile up and we have Bush for almost 2 more years. Hate is a luxury we cannot afford.

Geek got me banned, in a manner of speaking, by arguing foolishly against not funding as the wayto end the Debacle. He was doing it for
Obama of course in part. Because if Obama had not said the chicken thing, Geek would not be so adamant.

He's not stupid, actually pretty smart.

But admitting he was wrong ain't easy.

So now he is for impeachment. Hilarious.

I was seriously disappointed to see that Kos had kicked you out.

My beliefs on how to handle the Iraq withdrawal situation have nothing to do with Obama.  I was disagreeing with you on that count before you wrote your "Obama Got Punk'd" diary. My belief has been that (1) defunding is an ineffective option based on the parliamentary procedures in Congress and the ability of Bush to shift funds around using things like the Feed and Forage Act and that (2) the political tactics required to force an end to the Iraq war would be hampered by a push to defund.

And, I've never been adamantly opposed to impeachment per se--I just was opposed to premature impeachment drives.  I wanted to wait for the results of investigations and to see where the American people stood.

Well, those investigations turned up a lot regarding the USA firings--certainly impeachable stuff.

Perhaps Joe heard that Fred Thompson was considering a "bi-partisan" ticket and went all wobbly in knees, swooning at the thought of having another shot at VP. He's all bi-partisan and stuff, ya know? I bet he's already started doodling in his notebooks: "Thompson/Lieberman '08"

    Ack.
