A Break For Gonzo

In light of the Virginia Tech shootings, the testimony that Alberto Gonzales was to give tomorrow has been postponed until Thursday. Although Gonzales was given the extra time because he "may be preoccupied on Tuesday with matters related to the shootings" (it's hard to see how), he now has two more days to get his story straight.

to sweat bullets and lose sleep. It'll be torture for him. He should look wonderful for the camera by Thursday.

The only reason Gonzo and his department could be involved is if it was interstate or 'terrorism.'

It happened in one small part of a state ... so I guess 'interstate' is off the chart.

And it couldn't be terrorism because ppj, gabe, wile et al have said it isn't.

So tell me again why Gonzo can't make his hearing date!?

and stock up on popcorn, chocolate (left over Cadbury Eggs at Walgreens!), & dietCoke.

I swear - if the possibility existed that Bush, Cheney, & Gonzo were all going to resign this week, I'd buy beer. Don't know if I'd drink it - got 12 years stacked up - but I'd buy beer.

But you've not mentioned Haagen-Dasz, Ben & Jerry's, Dreyers, or Breyers (my own favorite).

Tax deadline is Tuesday, April 17th.

Abu Gonzo was going to be on TeeVee the day taxes were due which would have protected Abu from being the lead story.

Thursday gives Abu the top news spot!

    i actually think this is bad for gonzales. . . (none / 0) (#7)

    whatever impact the pre-
    release of his opening
    statement might have had on
    the news-cylce, it will be
    LONG gone by thursday, especially
in light of today's senseless tragedy. . .

and, that's two more days for
    committee staff to tick-and-tie
    all sampson (and other staffers)
    have averred -- vs. contradictions
    gonzales is already wedded-to
    by virtue of the pre-release
    of his opening. . . i'll note
    especially here that sen. leahy
has begun to release the details
of what kyle sampson said in
    his unprecedented-sunday interview
    with the judiciary committee to
the new york times, tonight. . .

me? i'm buying MORE popcorn, not less. . .

btw, woo-hoo! this makes my ben-n-jerry's for
a year bet for friday at 5:30 pm as gonzo-gone
    time, look even better!

. . . for Bu$hInc's Fredo the signs, omens, portents & readings do not look good.

Even so, I'm not buying a tv set just to watch this "king of the lawyers" go down in a heap.  But I may visit the senior citizens' center & watch theirs.

If not on CSPAN-1 or CSPAN-2, I'm sure it will be on CSPAN-3, all accessed online of course. And the committee may very well stream via their website as well. Ah, the possibilities just make me truly giddy. ;)
