Traveling , Open Thread

I'm headed to the airport now to visit a client in jail in Nebraska tomorrow and Monday. In case it gets quiet around here, please use this as an open thread.

I'll be back late Monday night, but will be checking in from time to time.

i'm at the airport in buenos aires, heading back to amerika and i'm not looking forward to being back... of course, i'm eager to see my grandsons, my son and his wife... but, all in all, i'd rather see them here... i'm praying so hard that bush and his criminal compadres are going to sink of their own diseased weight, like SOON, BEFORE any more time passes and destruction can be wreaked...

And, yes, I DO take it personally

...the county jail in Omaha (which is where federal detainees are held) is pretty good for visiting.  You get a comfortable, decent size visiting room with  electrical plugs for your laptop.  No metal detectors or laborious signing in process.  The sheriffs are pleasant. And it's quiet.

I just finished a five hour visit and it just sped by. Of course, the fact that I really like my client might be part of the reason, but if one were going to judge a city by the quality of its jails, Omaha is fine by me.
