Network Router Issues

TalkLeft has been loading really slowly for me today. Colin at Scoophost says,

"There appear to be issues with a router owned by Time Warner, one of the upstream network providers through which you may access this site. The connectivity is fully redundant so only a small percentage of visitors will experience problems with some percentage of their requests. We are actively pursuing a resolution to this issue."

Update from Time Warner below:

aintenance Date: 3/26/07

Maintenance Start Time: 12:01 am EDT
Maintenance Window Length: 120 minutes

Details of Maintenance: TWTC has identified memory issues on a TWTC customer aggregation router. After careful consideration with our equipment vendor it has been decided that an emergency software upgrade is needed to prevent unscheduled service interruptions.

Impact to Customers: All OC48, T1, NxT1, VersiPak and EIS customers will experience a 45 minute loss of IP connectivity during the 1st hour of the maintenance window. All ENLAN customers may experience a 60 second outage during the 2nd hour of the maintenance window.

We thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this maintenance window may cause.

for once, TalkLeft is loading really well for me. Here's an even weirder thing. I had been attributing all of my difficulties getting onto TL to Comcast, my provider. Apparently it's just Comcast Seattle, because here I am in Portland, using Comcast, and it's working just fine.

If a page is loading too slow, I hit "stop" and then reload it. Seems to help a bit.
