Vanity Fair has an advance copy of an article about Rudy Giuliani from its January issue, A Tale of Two Giulianis. It's about his shady connections and troubling client list at Giuliani Partners. The intro:

On the back of 9/11, Rudy Giuliani refashioned himself as a national hero, a top presidential candidate—and, through his consulting firm, Giuliani Partners, became a very wealthy man. But the questionable backgrounds of some of the firm’s clients make one wonder what Rudy wouldn’t do to make a buck. As Giuliani’s former crony Bernard Kerik faces trial, the author uncovers troubling signs of greed, poor judgment, and conflict of interest.

I'm looking forward to reading the whole thing.

    even though it just scratched the surface.

    In short, from examining Rudy's business dealings, it's clear that, in the words of the article, he's the "drum major leading the parade of the wealthy to the ultimate pay-to-play presidency."

    Not that it wasn't already clear to New Yorkers and close observers he was and is  just a dressed-up hustler rising out of his father's gangland roots, but the prospects are even more appalling.  About all the US has left to sell is its infrastructure, and he's been busy lining up deals and connections to do just that.

    You know those perennial news stories about yahoos who fall down wells or survive farm accidents and then become media "heroes"? The concept of Rudy Giuliani as a security consultant fits the same mold. 9/11 makes him a security expert how exactly?

    They all knew Bush was an idiot, but voted him in because of his swagger. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ghoul won, americans want a nasty lying cheating bully to protect them.

    Bush has only slept with his wife.  That's part of the reason he was able to win re-election despite being a disaster.

    Americans may want a tyrannical, lying, corrupt bully to lead them...as long as he is faithful to his wife and regularly discusses policy with Jesus, that is.  

    Rudy is done, just a matter of time till it's official.  We should start a pool....I say within 2 weeks after he loses in New Hampshire, after losing in Iowa, he will bow out.

    once he realizes he can't win, he'll concentrate on laundering whats left of his campaign funds.
