Talkleft is an inspiration - Jeralyn, you are a wonderful and unique individual to spend the time that is obviously required to maintain the site.
However, and hate to be negative on first day of the New Years, it would be great if we did not have to hear about "football"on this website. I understand that I am painting with a broad brush, but Americans obsession with sports, stars, "winning" etc permeates the media often to the exclusion of substantive news, and it is disheartening. (Maybe its when I heard Guiliani talk about how he is a life time yankees fan, as if it was a qualificaiton for public office, that makes me want to burn my T.V.)
I hope that Talkleft can still be a respite from FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL.
