Adwatch has reviewed Hillary Clinton's newest campaign ad, featuring her mom, Dorothy Rodham.

Rodham looks younger than her 88 years and appears to be plainspoken, genuine and apolitical. Her description of her daughter comes off as heartfelt and unscripted.

    Hillary Clinton's campaign understand subtlety.  I think her mother addresses the criticisms about her so directly it actually reinforces that they exist.  She is not the best person to refute criticism of Hillary since she is her mother, of course she doesn't think the criticisms are fair.

    Seriously?  I thought it sounded pretty forced.

    And why would I care what Hillary Clinton's mom thought about whether or not HRC should be elected?  Of course she is going to say that.

    I am definitely less impressed with this ad than Adwatch or Jeralyn.

      will go a long way  toward solidifying her support among people leaning toward Clinton who were staying on the fence because they were unsure whether her mother liked her.

    Nice ad, but I'm not sure how one can be "apolitical" while arguing that somebody should be elected president. It doesn't get much more political than that.

    my wife and i have always liked sen. clinton. obviously, we don't live with her, but she's always come across, in her public appearances, as knowledgable and sincere. this whole "grating voice", "polarizing personality" thing has always struck us as hogwash, made up by clods like limbaugh and russert. and sucked up by the retrogrades scared silly by an intelligent, strong woman. i have no sympathy.

    she has her mom, obama has, um, oprah, not his mom. is his mom deceased?
