If I were currently raising a teen, the last place I'd live is Texas.

Read this sad tale. While the article breaks it down along racial lines, the truth is that Texas is over-incarcerating its youth with disastrous consequences.

    I highly doubt that the sexual abuse of juveniles in prison is a rare occurrence.  Sexual abuse of adult prisoners is widespread enough to be joked about.  Sexual abuse of prisoners abroad by Americans put a stain on America's reputation.  Unless we refuse to allow the most helpless among us, our prisoners, especially our juvenile prisoners, to be sexually abused, we are essentially condoning rape.
