Hillary Clinton Hires Fundraiser

It's looking even more likely today that Hillary Clinton is going to put her hat in the 2008 presidential ring. She's hired a veteran national political fundraiser.

Phil Singer, a veteran of Sen. John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign who most recently was spokesman for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, will join the Clinton communications team, her senior adviser Howard Wolfson said.

Wolfson cautioned that Clinton may still decide against a run but that Singer would play a senior role if she becomes a candidate, as expected. "I called him the day after the election," Wolfson acknowledged.

More new hires:

Karen Hicks, a veteran field organizer who served as New Hampshire director for Howard Dean's upstart 2004 campaign...The campaign has also signed a national finance director, veteran Democratic fundraiser Jonathan Mantz.

Update: Arianna thinks Obama is going to upset the Hillary cart.

    Hillary Cart, etc. (none / 0) (#1)

Well, I'm just tickled pink. I can't STAND Obama, but then Hillary is just the same. A plague on both their damn carts. As I emailed Josh, 2008 is shaping up to be an election I can (finally) tune out.

    Hell, I feel calmer already.

    Hillary Clinton and Rupert Murdoch...Ugh! (none / 0) (#2)

"Conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch will host a fundraiser for liberal New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, the Financial Times reports."  5/09/2006

The very next day: $$Rupert Murdoch$ Hillary Clinton$ Bob Casey$$$$

"For the second time in a month, Democratic Senate candidate Bob Casey Jr. will lean on Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D., N.Y.) to help raise money for his campaign."

Since it is common for campaigns to launder money among themselves in order to obscure who is supporting whom, it is pretty clear that Pennsylvania's freshman Democratic senator Bob 'I'm a pro-live Democrat' Casey is, along with Hillary Clinton, already in the pocket of the extreme right wing of America. Lock, stock and bucks.

That is quite an accusation, one: (none / 0) (#4)

...which, of course, you can present proof positive that Casey and clinton mare "already in the pocket of the extreme right wing of America."

I mean, certainly you can provide this, or are you just falling back on rank speculation without a shred, not one scintilla, of evidence?

    And this:

Since it is common for campaigns to launder money among themselves in order to obscure who is supporting whom...
seems to indicate that you believe illegal activities are afoot when you use a pejorative term like "launder money", a term connected with illegal activities.

I really look forward to reading the proof of your apparently baseless accusations. Convince me, I'm open to changing my mind when I am provided proof of your allegations.

to wait until he has something of substance to offer the electorate, other than his wonderful self.

i hope sen. clinton learned something from both the gore and kerry campaigns: let nothing go, from anyone. strike back fast and hard, when the MSM or the swift boaters churn their nonsense in public.

if a claim is a lie, call it what it is, and the person spewing it a liar. swarm them, out them and show them for what they are to the world.

take no prisoners, but do it with a smile. :)
