Here we go again. The snow is expected to begin falling around noon. I'm off to get as much done as I can before the snow gets too heavy to drive in and the roads ice up. Just little things, like going to the office to get the mail, the grocery store to stock up on food and pick up some fresh flowers to brighten a gray day.

    Just wanted to say....you get snow...we get rain here in Houston......either way, I am sick of it already!  Here's a good article about Iraq...does it really have to be this hard?

    NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - Seven New Orleans police officers were indicted on Thursday on murder and attempted murder charges for a shooting on a New Orleans bridge that came to symbolize the lawless chaos that followed Hurricane Katrina last year.

    Bush Grants Self Permission To Grant More Power To Self
    Senior administration officials lauded Bush's decision, saying that current presidential powers over presidential power were "far too limited."

    "Previously, the president only had the power to petition Congress to allow him to grant himself the power to grant more power to himself," Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez said shortly after the ceremony. "Now, the president can grant himself the  power to interpret new laws however he sees fit, then use that power to interpret a law in such a manner that in turn grants him increased power."

    This gave me a chuckle.  Per crooks and liars  Homeland Security Department Adviser Fran Townsend was asked whether the fact that we never got Osama Bin Laden can be considered a failure.  

    TOWNSEND: Well, I'm not sure -- it's a success that hasn't occurred yet. I don't know that I view that as a failure.

    There you go.  Through Bush's truthiness prism there are never any failures, just successes that haven't occurred yet.
