The late deciders are going to Webb:

Democrat Jim Webb has surged ahead of Republican George Allen in the last poll of the campaign, conducted for News-7 by SurveyUSA. The survey shows Webb with 52% of the likely voters, with 44% going to Allen.

    Just heard that Gallup says Allen is up by 3...

    And the And the Pew numbers are fascinating.... Tomorrow should be a long day.

    In the religious demographics, where the Democrats have tried mightily to find some traction, they also have problems. They held a thin lead (5 points) among all Protestants, but now trail by 9. Their ten-point lead among white mainline Protestants has dissipated into a tie. They lead among all Catholic, having lost three points off of an eight-point lead, but non-Hispanic Catholics now favor the GOP by 5 points, a ten-point shift.

    Gallup was last night. Mason Dixon says Webb by 1. Rassmussen says a tie.

    It's tight, polls are pretty meaningless now.

    Yeah, a more conservative version of Lieberman winning in Virginia is considered good news here.

    A Lieberman in Virginia or Tennesssee would be acceptable.

    For the record, Webb vehemently opposed the Iraq Debacle.

    This was another weekend poll and the results are still inside the margin of error. I just posted some more thoughts on recent polls over here.

    ...representing them in the senate than continue with a bush toady, wanna-be cowboy, who completely ducked serving in the military, is prejudiced, homophobic, xenophobic, and just a jerk in general.

    I know the concept of being lead by REAL, proven leaders is totally foreign to the bush cabal and his republican guard, but it is rather important to Americans tired of being led by liars, war criminals, and people that in general are worse than Saddam Hussein. (That's why Saddam wasn't allowed to produce evidence that America, thru rumsfeld and cohorts, sold Saddam the chemicals he need to create the weapons he used to gas the Iraqi population, and why the trial for THAT offense may never be held now that he was sentenced to death for the murder of 148 people, not the hundreds of thousands of deaths we used as partial justification for our illegal invasion.)

    George Felix Allen, Jr, does not, has not, nor ever will have the intelligence, experience, talent, dedication to country, and proven under fire leadership abilities of James Webb.

    over allen any day of the week. sen. allen has been a political waste case since first elected to office. were it not for dad, he'd be shucking oysters in a northern neck packing plant, with apologies to honorable oyster shuckers.

    yes, jim webb is somewhat conservative, but so what? va is somewhat conservative, when it comes to finance, war and gov't intrusion in our personal lives. i can live with that kind of conservatism.

    mr. webb, unlike mr. allen, has far more breadth of personal experience, that he brings to the table. unlike mr. allen, and mr. bush, mr. webb takes the time to actually research, when he's unfamiliar with a topic. probably comes from being an author, and having to make life and death decisions in combat.

    don't you dare compare webb with lieberman, it's a false comparison. webb was honorable enough to publicly quit the republican party, before registering and running as a democrat. lieberman hasn't had the decency to do that.

    polls are worth less than the paper they're printed on, the truth is in the pudding. the only poll that matters is the one at the ballot box tomorrow.
