Saudi Court Sentences Victim of Gang Rape to 90 Lashes

Primative beyond belief: A Saudi court has sentenced the victim of a gang rape to 90 lashes because she was alone in a car with a man not her spouse.

The man she was with was not one of the rapists. She and her friend were proceeding to their car when they were kidnapped by the rapists and driven to a farm where they raped her. The court also ordered her male friend to get 90 lashes.

What happened to the rapists:

The four, all married, were sentenced respectively to five years and 1,000 lashes, four years and 800 lashes, four years and 350 lashes, and one year and 80 lashes.

A fifth, married, man who was stated to have filmed the rape on his mobile phone still faces investigation. Two others alleged to have taken part in the rape evaded capture.

This is merely what you can expect. I have long wondered why the Left does not condmen these aspects of Islam, and I remind everyone of the "honor" killings, no women's rights, etc.

But I see very little on the subject on the net or from the MSM unless it is SA or some other Islamic country that we have halfway decent relations with.

Can any of you tell me why?

Perhaps, as usual, you are merely ill-informed:

LENO: At this point, it would be very difficult for me to say because of the huge refugee population -- people fleeing to every border country in such numbers and so continuously that I doubt that anyone has a headcount on that anymore. But I will say that prior to the war, women were definitely the majority of the population, probably 60 percent due to 20 years of war in that country.

he has been living in a cave, after all. apparently, for most of his natural, and unnatural, life.

this is an issue that's been ranted about, in liberal circles, for at least the last 30 years. the last time i checked, neither the progressive/liberal or feminist wings have much control over what the MSM does or doesn't choose to report on.

of course, jim knows that, he's just hoping, as always, that some poor shlub doesn't, and will actually take him seriously.
