Pot Taken From Evidence Locker

by TChris

New policy for officers of the Utah State Patrol: keep the keys to the evidence locker away from your chlidren.

Three 17-year-old St. George boys, one the son of a Utah Highway Patrol trooper, have been arrested for investigation into the thefts of more than 23 pounds of marijuana from the UHP's evidence locker in Cedar City.

Iron County authorities are unsure how many criminal cases may have been compromised by the thefts. Only some of the marijuana has been recovered.

Nice story but is that the best you can do? Instead of making cops and soldiers look stupid you could get serious about your reporting? Why not look at defense contractors or war-profiteers? Link these scoundrels to their patrons in congress and follow the money. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

Reporting? Why don't you urge actual reporters at actual media outlets to do some reporting? Tell it to Fox News.

I bet those three kids are in huge trouble. But if they get sent to the same slammer that holds the people who were busted with the pot the kids liberated, they'll probably be heralded as heroes!

I guess having a cop for a parent has priveledges beyond a PBA "get out of a ticket free" card...a key to the evidence locker. The boys were just doing their part to prevent government waste...I commend them. It's a sin to let good agricultural products spoil in an evidence locker.

The Red Sox had a great lefty in the 80s named Bruce Hurst. He was all set to be named MVP of the '86 World Series, get the clueless call from Reagan and have champagne dumped all over his head 'til Mookie Wilson hit that grounder up the line to Buckner... but I digress. Hurst is from St George. St. George is beautiful country. It's right near Mt. Zion National Park. It's also got a cancer rate seven times the National average because it's downwind from Los Alamos, but I'm sure that's just a coincidence. Is that the sort of "feel good" story you're looking for, L?

LWW, Excellent suggestion. aw, Fox news will not listen to us. They are lost. Instant Karma will get them, right in the face. Jeralyn at least listens. It's why we come here. Welcome to the real world.

Well, who is LWW addressing? When he/she says "you" I assumed she/he was talking to TChris or TalkLeft, who are not reporters.

Charlie - Downwind from any number of explosions in the Utah desert too I believe. But hey, the Army handed out a bunch of complimentary sunglasses to people, they didnt have to do that. But we digress.
