Raw Story has an investigative piece up in which it says that Sen. Pat Roberts fixed the pre-war intelligence to help Republicans.

    One wonders what Robert's reward will be for protecting Bush and trashing the CIA. Yet another Bush Medal of Freedom?

    Perhaps Pincus' July 11 source was Roberts. It would explain why todays article in WAPO is so understated. He never said Roberts spun those memos or wanted them leaked, but that is what I got after reading the piece a couple of times. The RAW report certainly shows Roberts to be a traitor in collusion with the other neocon cons. Intellegence, like every other word the neocons corrupt, winds up signifying its opposite; Roberts as head becomes a synecdoche. Also, I believe that Tenant knew that the WH was setting them up and left a substantial paper trail long before he resigned. Don't mess with spooks. As someone's Texas grandma would say.....we'll see.

    Probably. As more comes to light on this debacle, the more the finger points at the wrong wingers manipulating info to get what they want. Like they say about the existence of bigfoot-"when it comes to evidence, if it was a murder, there would have been a hanging by now".
