Jeb Bush Calls for Schiavo Investigation

Maybe this is how Jeb Bush intends to get even with Michael Schiavo for "winning" the autopsy?

    Another Bush cover-up at work.

More evidence this was never about Mrs. Schiavo. It's just selfserving crap designed to promote Jeb with the fundies. It's an attack on Mr. Schiavo based on lies and I hope it explodes in Bush's face

It is amazing what extent politicians will go in order to advance their own careers. After years of suffering Mrs. Sciavo is finally laid to rest and here come the governor concerned over if the time her husband called 911 was 4:30 AM or 5:40 AM. I wonder if he could remember himself fifteen years later what time he did anything either.

Just a hypothetical here, but even if they could show there was a delay what criminal violation could they charge him with?

Adding to what Lloyd said, isn't there a statute of limitations?

How many PVS cases are there in Florida? Probably hundreds. THOSE people get NOTHING from the Bushies -- but the political redmeat of a woman who was horrifically abused and made into a ragdoll for ugly political advancement -- she is their football forever. These are the people who 'honor' the troops by hauling their bodies in the back door at night, like garbage cans.

I keep watching for the faithful to start distancing themselves from these wolves in sheep's clothing. I think a big portion of the religious right are sincere folks who just don't realize that leaders like Bush, Dobson, Robertson et al are motivated primarily by personal ambition, and are deluded about or impervious to the will of God.

Who is talking abou charging? From day one I commented that I would like to see a thorough investigation of the whole affair. This inflamed so many people that it deserves that.

To think that a 'thorough investigation' would show anything different in a case that was litigated through the courts for years and years before the appeals ran out is an interesting frame of mind.

DA - I don't think there has ever been a thorough investigation by someone with law enforcement powers and resources. Big difference.

I don't think PPJ, there has been no new forensic evidence that would lead one to conclude that a law enforcement investigation would reveal anything new. Riddle me this: If Jeb Bush thought an investigation was so derned important, why wait until after negative results from an autopsy to initiate it? The answer, of course is politics. Jeb loses nothing except the good opinion of some centrists, while he panders to his 'Christian' base. You can bet garbage to doornails that the investigation won't find anything a DA can charge Michael with, but they'll just keep the case open, with the non-results released at 3:30 PM on a Friday so that it gets lost in the news shuffle--a tried and true tactic, I must say.

"Posted by Jim: "Big difference." Yeah, it IS a big difference -- it's a lot more scrutiny than the rest of the state's criminal or tort negligence cases get. If you think it's such a hot idea, why don't you get up a collection plate and repay Florida taxpayers for the money your trampling of Terri Schiavo's corpse (and attack on her widow) is going to cost. You're the party of fiscal responsibility -- GET RESPONSIBLE.
