    Memorial Day, the traditional one, happens to be Monday, May 30, 2005 this year. May 30 is the only day that I observe Memorial Day. Never on the designated 'National Holiday'. It's just plain dumb to do it that way and is totally un-American. My opinion doesn't count much, but that's how I do it.

    This weekend, take time to reflect on all those that have recently died, not defending the Constitution of the United States, but the PNAC blueprint for world domination. Make a pledge to their families that you will see their killers, their REAL killers, eventually brought to justice.

    I'll be remembering and raising a glass to all the innocent victims of various power-hungry tyrants bent on world domination. Osama, Bush...makes no difference.

    Three cheers for using a solemn holiday commemorating fallen soldiers as gimmick for criticizing the administration!

    In San Diego we seem to honoring fallen soldiers EVERY DAMN DAY!

    Here's a good article from The Boston Globe. This part kills me but read the rest if you have a chance.
    Already, Republican judges are in the majority in 10 out of the nation's 13 federal appellate courts. By the end of President George W. Bush's term the count will likely be 12 out of 13, and about 85 percent of those circuit court judges will be Republican appointees, according to a March report in the National Law Journal. Seven of the nine sitting Supreme Court justices (and 16 out of 22 appointments in the last 50 years) were put forward by Republicans, as well. All of which lends a certain antic quality to House majority leader Tom DeLay's description of the federal courts last month as ''the left's last legislative body.'' Federal judges are appointed for life; it could be a generation before the political balance shifts again.
