Another Good Day for Michael Jackson

Jackson Trial Update
Thursday, April 28

Ex-wife Debbie Rowe continues to buck the prosecution. Her second day of testimony supported Jackson. In addition to calling Jackson a great father,

"Jackson's ex-wife Deborah Rowe also depicted the entertainer as a victim of "opportunistic vultures" in his inner circle who sought to make millions from his troubles."

"By portraying Jackson as a victim of his associates, Rowe may have undermined the prosecution's child molestation case. That is because she was called to bolster a charge that the singer and the associates conspired to hold the accuser's family captive to make a video praising him."

Now the prosecution says it won't rest until Tuesday. The case sounds like its sputtering to a close.....

You mean the prosecutor called a fact witness who appears to take responsibility for her own conduct and situation, and isn't purporting that stepping onto Jackson's Neverland ranch transforms you into a mindless automaton, helpless to act against Jackson's overwhelming will no matter how destructive the consequence to oneself or one's child? In this case, that would appear to be a first.

messed up case, messed up people. but let's not start treating debbie rowe like some kind of trustworthy soul. she seems to have gotten a case of the yips in court. whether that's because it was the truth, or because she doesn't want to alienate herself from jacko's celebrity, wealth, life, etc., not a one of us knows or has ANY factual knowledge. i find almost everything about this case utterly disturbing, especially since, as a victim of abuse, i have little doubt that jackson is a mentally unstable abuser. hanging your baby out a upper-floor window will tend to show that. or having alarms systems so you can be warned when someone is going to interrupt your private time with boys. that he has tended to deal with parents who seem weak and pathetic, well, what do you think abusers do? they seek out those they can manipulate. but the legal system is rarely about truth, it's a game about who can make a, more often than not, largely dimwitted jury come to heel first. so let's not look at this case as anything more than the freakshow it is -- it is not any kind of search for truth. period.

When you refer to dimwitted juries, is that your inside assessment of juries upon which you have served?
