Stolen Vests Sold to Drug Dealers

by TChris

Free enterprise at its worst:

Three airmen have been arrested in an alleged scheme to steal 35 bulletproof vests from Moody Air Force Base and sell them to drug dealers for $100 each.

Police discovered the plot when they arrested a drug dealer who was wearing one of the stolen vests. Eighteen of the vests have been recovered.

Third world ideals inside the once great Air force...oh well are the airmen u.s., civilians? "not joking" up to 20 percent of people who are now in our military are from other parts of the world. note when i was in the military it was 5 percent, 40 years ago. but many people have no idea of how many drug dealers do have military Equipment/gear of all type.

I thought they were running low on those over there, since Rummy accidentally forgot to order enough back in 2002 before starting the war. Maybe they were hocking them to buy deserter plane tickets? Great comment Che. I can see smoke coming out of wingnut ears trying to reconcile it: War on Terror...Does Not Compute....War on Drugs....Does Not Compute....Support Our Troops....Does Not Compute...Drug Money Supports Terror...Does Not Compute...zzzzzzzzzzzzztttttt

Thankfully, at least these nitwits will have the UCMJ thrown at them.

TS - Typical snarky comment by an anti-war person. You know, if there is a shortage in Iraq, then we have a serious problem in supply-demand management, which is not new in the military. I have seen electronic equipment being scrapped while subassemblies for repair of the same equipment was back ordered, and aircraft grounded. So this desrves investigation. But, if there was no shortage, maybe all the Iraq comments was just BS. Makes one wonder.

A bunch of twenty year olds trying to supplement their income, that's my take. A foolish mistake, that will most likely prove costly. Employee theft is rampant nationwide, especially with employees of Uncle Sam. Remember that republican staffer awhile back who stole that flatscreen tv? This shouldn't be a shock. Now, if we ended our foolish drug prohibition policies, these airmen would have had a much tougher time moving the stolen goods, FWIW.

Free enterprise at its worst. Hardly. More like "Free-lance socialism at its best." After all, you have a theft of valuable property from its rightful owners by parasites who benefit by redistributing that property to unworthy scum- for a slight 'administration fee'.

Only a troll completely ignorant of economics and politics would not recognize the illegal drug industry and the process of fencing stolen goods as unfettered capitalism, driven solely by the laws of supply and demand. Go back to troll school, it's clear you were a troll child that was left behind.

SD - Any funnier? How about you agreeing with OBL that "the US government is unjust, criminal and tyrannical."
