DrudgeRock: Part II

Ok, this is funny.

... This wouldn't be the first time Rock has gotten into a Drudge match. In March 2003, the comedian blasted the Internet maven for an online report alleging studio bosses at DreamWorks pressured Rock to refrain from making any un-funny remarks against President Bush and the War in Iraq before his comedy Head of State hit theaters.

At the time, Rock said: "I don't know Matt Drudge, I never met Matt Drudge, but if I see Matt Drudge, I'm going to take my red-blooded American foot and put it up his un-American a*s for trying to disrupt the opening of my movie."

Actually, I met Drudge once, during the Clinton impeachmentand Paula Jones days-- he accompanied the she-pundit with long blond hair to a live Leeza show she and I were guests on in L.A. about sex scandals in Congress and the White House. I liked him, he was by far the friendlier of the two.

Of course, if we put all of this through the ol' Rac-o-Reverso machine, things would be quite different. In that case, an Oppressed Truthseeker of Color would be going after a racist comic Oppressor who had said hateful mean-spirited racist anti-human comments about Oppressed People of Color.

If it were the other way around drudge would be vilified out of exsitance by the hypocrites on the left.

I thought the right wingers hated Hollywood why are they suddenly so concerned with who is hosting the Oscars?

GregZ`- As a straight white male I join my straight black brohers in never watching the Oscars. The issue isn't Chris Rock. The issue is no one is "outraged' by his comments. Double standard and all that.

PPJ, This is what he said. "Nothing against people who aren't straight. But what straight guy that you know cares (about the Oscars)." Looks to me like he is making fun of the Oscars. I don't see how this is an attack on homosexuals. He said they watch the Oscars. When he starts putting up websites like this, give me a call.

For the hundreth time, He is a COMEDIAN...outrage is part of the job description. Both right and left need to lighten up and take a joke once and awhile.

I've met Matt Drudge several times and he is a very nice guy. I also think he could kick Chris Rock's *ss - Drudge strikes me as one of those slightly pudgy very strong guys. -C

Here's some other stuff: During a recent rant, Rock blasted heartland Americans. "Weird white guys getting overly patriotic, with their f**king flag hats on," Rock said. "I am not scared of al Qaeda, I am scare of f**king al Cracker." Put that through the Rac-o-Reverso machine and show it to some "liberals" and tell them, for instance, Charlton Heston said it. Just be prepared for fainting!

Steve - Your reading skills need polishing. He clearly is playing to the stereotype.

ppj, Show me a comedian who doesn't. Most comedians use stereotypes about married, single, white, black, gay, and straight people. Again, how is this a homophobic statement?

The above post by PPJ (aka Dim) is a semi-forgery by some idiot who has nothing to say, and is so ashamed of the fact that he is dumb that he does a semi-forgery. Steve A - Shock humor has been around for years, and is based on a certain amount of preceived truth. That is, society's stereotypes. Those who use them are spreading these to the long term disadvantage of society and the individual groups.

DA - Forgery is forgery is forgery. By approving of it you establish your ethical position and who you are. Congratulations. As for Rickles, I was always uncomfortable with his humor. Attacking people isn't funny, and I think it demonstrates a larger inferority complex.

DA - The use of someone else's moniker, although modified by a "d" i.e. "PPJ (aka dim)" instead of "PPJ (aka Jim)" Is not paroddy. It is an attempt to deceive. Try writing a check like that and see what happens.

It is an attempt to deceive. Well, PPJ, if the phony name isn't a tip-off, the content should've been. Even if I managed to miss the change in one letter(a d looks a lot like a j in your universe, I guess), I wouldn't have thought that the post was yours, and I doubt anyone else thought it was a forgery. I might try to get cash a check where one letter was wrong, but walking into a bank where the check is for 18 billion(i.e., content), yeah, I'd expect it to get cashed, right............
