http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/4115411/detail.html I like how they say that it's probably motivated by revenge or hoax and then put the FBI's number in bold at the bottom lol. And, like, these folks are going to come forward and clear everything up??

Many years ago, a truck carrying medical waste from cancer patients who'd had radiation treatments crashed. The headline told us the truck "failed to explode". Given the ignorance, the desire to alarm, and the way the media cover an incipient two inches of snow, if something like a dirty bomb goes off, we can count on them to promote panic.

I love how 4 Chinese have multiplied into 14 Chinese so quickly. I mean, fertility rates aside, this is ridiculous.

this is such patent nonsense. i saw pictures of the four chinese "terrorists" on the "news" -- two of them looked literally to be between 10 and 12 years old. no explanation as to why these people are described as "terrorists" (well, now we have this not-in-the-same-breath talk of a possible "dirty bomb"). and then, when it looks like people aren't reacting to these scary chinese terrorists, the ante gets upped to fourteen and we get two iraqis thrown in just to make it clear that these are TERRORISTS. anybody smell b-u-l-l-s-h-i-t? the whole thing stinks of "let's make it look like something's going on and we're on top of it." i think those four chinese "terrorists" are actually wanted by the chinese government for something and the us and chinese gov'ts are doing a little mutual backscratching -- "we'll get your guys for you but we get to call them terrorists and make up a really scary story about them." it just works too well on too many levels for the faschists -- yup, let's call a spade a spade here. the undercurrent of fear has ebbed since the election -- we haven't had any "terrorism alerts" since just before the election (well, that is if you don't count the hysterical murmuring about potential for attacks on election day) so we are overdue for a ratchetingi up of the fear factor. piss me off.
