Entrepreneurs searching for a way to assure the world that they didn't vote for Bush are marketing similar products to those who share their sentiments: blue bracelets.

Rothchild, 35, is selling blue bracelets that say "COUNT ME BLUE," while Laura Adams, of Fairway, Kan., offers blue bracelets that say "HOPE." The McKnight family, of Moscow, Idaho, is even more direct; their black bracelets proclaim: "I DID NOT VOTE 4 BUSH."

Some of the profits from each venture will be contributed to a worthy organization.

    I lived in Moscow for a decade, very cool town. Here in Utah folks have left on their Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers. I’ve left on my Badnarik sticker, but only so I can find my white outback in the parking lot. I didn’t know when I bought it that everyone had one in that color, even the lady across my street.

    The ironic thing is, MoveOn was created with the notion that people should "Move On" from the Monica issue and focus on "the real issues" Seems to me that the left is making exactly the same mistakes that the Clinton bashing crowd made in 1998.

    Pig, Kerry got more then 227,000 votes in Utah, approx. 27%. To put it in perspective, Bush got over 1 million votes in Massachusetts, for 37%. James, they're making the same mistake, but on steroids.

    People go on and on about how a move to the left will alienate voters. Buying into this mainstream "Red" and "Blue" reductive rhetoric is sure to (1) further solidify egotistic investment in "your side" and (2) reduce politics to a football game.

    A couple of less-charitable bloggers have suggested red bracelets. Sort of rubbing-their-noses-in-their-defeat kind of a thing. Fine idea by me.

    How 'bout THIS for a fashion statement: people handing out M-80s and other loud fireworks to the DC neighborhoods for use during the inaugural. THAT should make things just a bit more interesting, especially if televised. What a Kodak moment it would be to see George flinching as he read the Oath of Office. You could email it around the world with the caption "We know how you feel, George!" Hell, MAKE those Secret Service agents earn every penny of their paychecks!

    DA, the Dems do in fact have a track record here: On healthcare, the 1993 failure of "Hilarycare", on education, the failure of unionist obstructionism, and on illegai immigration, no action.
