As I was going out the door, I heard on CNN or MSNBC that Park Deitz was credited with saying it was "an innocent mistake" on his part. I doubt it myself; it's a lot to hang your reputation on. It certainly calls into question other testimony he has presented. Rusty Yates was on Larry King Live last night and actually said, he and his wife watched the show and he didn't remember any storyline such as this case.

The system sucks!! In the Andrea Yates trial, the prosecution's expert witness blatantly lied on the stand, and it's just "Oh, well, he didn't mean to..." and nothing else will happen to him. In fact, he'll probably get more work because he's a good prosecution witness, i.e., he says what's necessary to get a conviction. On the other hand, a very close friend of mine was a defense expert witness, there were two incorrect dates on his CV (everything else was correct), he testified for the defense in a USAF court martial, the defendant was convicted, yet the Big Brother Govmint came after him and convicted him of perjury, 15 months in a Federal prison. As a defense attorney once said to me, "If you're a good defnese expert, they WILL get you." And they did in this case. And it sucks.

As a defense attorney, I definately agree that there's a double standard when it comes to expert witnesses. But this guy will never sit in a witness chair again. His credibility is shot. However, I'm sure that Harris County will find nother whores willing to lie in order to convict and/or get death sentences

The woman is insane. But justice is not the point, because the insane are the insane at the end of the day. But keep her away from the free world for life.

Karen you got it right!! And then the prosecutor sums up on this very point. The whole thing was planned.

Lawyers do not ask questions that they do not know the answer to, right? So, why would the prosecutor ask about Law and Order if the answer was not planned? Innocent mistake my a##.
