    After all of these concerns have been aired and in light of Gonzalez' evasive and non-responsive performance, I do not understand how a single Democrat (or any Republicans who still qualify as human) can possibly justify voting for this man's appointment. Do they really imagine that supporting Gonzales is going to buy them restraint or non-partisan collaboration when it comes to other legislation or appointments? That's not how this administration works--have they forgotten how many times in the past 4 years Democrats and moderate Republicans caved on an issue because they were promised a deal on something else only to see that promise reneged on later? You'd think they'd have learned something by now.
