Two Mexican Presidents Compare Trump to Hitler

Last week it was former Mexican President Vicente Fox who said he wasn't to pay for Trump's F*cking Border Wall." Today it was former Mexican President Felipe Calderon complaining about Trump and his "white supremacism."

Trump’s political rhetoric was “racist” and evocative of the Nazi dictator.

“This logic of praising the white supremacy is not just anti-immigration,” Calderon said. “He is acting and speaking out against immigrants that have a different skin color than he does, it is frankly racist and [he is] exploiting feelings like Hitler did in his time,” Calderon said.

Calderon added that Trump’s discourse was “sowing hate” against the United States around the world and that was “not in Washington’s interest”.

Mexicans view Trump as poison who will do substantial damage to U.S. - Mexico relations.

even if the border wall is never built, many in Mexico fear that Trump’s comments about the country will result in a more draconian US border policy, threatening to derail two decades of closer ties and economic integration brought about by the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Veep Joe Biden apologized for Trump this week:

Speaking during a visit to Mexico City, Biden told President Enrique Pena Nieto that there has been "a lot of damaging and incredibly inaccurate rhetoric" in the US election, but that most Americans do not share those views.

"I feel almost obliged to apologize for some of what my political colleagues have said about Mexico, about the Mexican people," he said.

..."It's a heated campaign season and I just want you to know, Mr. President, that the most heated of the rhetoric you've heard from some of the competitors for the nomination for president is not who we are as the American people."

Biden told them the U.S. has beaten back this kind of "xenophobia" before.

"This too shall pass ... We have gone through these episodes of xenophobia but they have always been overcome," he said.

If you agree with them, please watch your language in comments. Do not call Trump a racist, white supremacist or other potentially libelous term.

    Vicente Fox (5.00 / 1) (#1)

earned his place in my personal pantheon for calling Dubya a "windshield cowboy," a fake who was afraid of real horses, whose idea of riding the range required seatbelts and a pickup truck.

So yeah, what Vicente Fox says goes for me too.

Yup, me too . I went right past this post (none / 0) (#6)

until now. But Hitler was exactly what I was thinking of when I saw the video with Trump and his crowd of maniacs dragging people out of his rallies with sheer hatred on their faces. It is more dangerous than I realized.

would disavow David Duke's endorsement.  Trump replied that he didn't know anything about David Duke and would have to do some research before commenting.  Tapper had made it clear that David Duke is a white supremacist with KKK ties.

all this does is help him on Tuesday. A Mexican President is going to hurt Trump's standing in the GOP? It just elevates him.

In fact, looking back at Rubio's recent attacks it's becoming apparent that it wasn't so much anti-Trump as grasping for a way to not fall into 3rd place in the delegate race (behind Cruz) on Tuesday.

like appearing with a neoconfederate like Sessions is really going to change the story with Duke.

Of course, now Trump's embrace of Mussolini is making the rounds.
